| | : Thank you for alerting me, but I was already aware. I have purposely not participated in the vote since, having just returned from a long break, I am not aware of the context. Also, since regrettably I can only read latin and (mostly) greek scripts, I am unable to glean any information about you from your user page. Since your English is clearly good, you could help out us ignoramusses by putting a translation on our site. Finally, I am not very au fait with the techniques used by bots, although I do intend to find out more in the next few years. So I shall rely on the rest of the community on this one [[User:Enginear|--Enginear]] | | : Thank you for alerting me, but I was already aware. | | + | I haven't time at present to follow up and add the sense and reference quoted in the following 'pedia quote, but I see the OED2+ has several cites of similar usage at around the same time, ie ''come out for'' = ''publicly support'', which it suggests are precursors of ''come out as [gay]'' -- if anyone else has time, please do so. |
