March 4, 2013 Updated Mar 4, 2013 at 4:48 PM EST FORT WAYNE, Ind. (www.incnow.tv) Chief Meteorologist, Curtis Smith, is predicting 5-8 inches of snow for Fort Wayne and the surrounding warning area. North of Fort Wayne could see 3-6 inches.
Most of our area is now under a WINTER STORM WARNING all day Tuesday, into early Wednesday. North of Fort Wayne, some counties are under a WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY.
This storm looks different than last week's storm for several different reasons. For starters, temperatures will be a little colder, so almost all of this precipitation will be in the form of snow. The exception to that will be south of Fort Wayne tonight - some of it will be a wintry mix. Again, almost all of this will be snow. Secondly, and perhaps most importantly, we will see higher snow totals. In some cases, much higher.
