A deadline set by city officials for Occupy Philadelphia to leave the site where it has camped for nearly two months has passed without any arrests.
The scene outside City Hall was still quiet early Monday even though some protesters had prepared for the possibility of arrest.
Meanwhile, in Los Angeles, another deadline was getting closer for hundreds of demonstrators to abandon their weeks-old Occupy protest. Demonstrators had been ordered to leave their encampment and take their nearly 500 tents with them by 12:01 a.m. PST on Monday.
Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa said police would not make arrests immediately after the deadline, but would give protesters ample time to leave on their own.
