The Darkness A dark figure moved quickly across the floorboards. It made its way silently through the shadows, of each room avoiding notice from the body sitting next to a blazing fireplace. The dark figure was scared it discovered a murder. It was through sheer luck the shadowy figure had snuck past the sentry and that these firewatchers guarding the dead body were busy in some sort of conversation. Although the dark figure wondered where all this luck would get him in such a dark and unfamiliar territory. This was no place for him. Even if here were to pass unnoticed, he still had no idea where his intended person of visit would be. Letting out a quiet sigh of thought, he stiffed as he heard a crack, so soft that if he hadn't been listening, he wouldn't have heard it. Watching the firewatchers closely. Wondering how he could possibly sneak his way out of this one, he jumped again as a pair of dexterous cold hands found their way around his ghostly neck. By- Author Jack R. Sorenson Editor. Is there anything you wish you had been told earlier in your career? Spelling and the use of nouns and adverbs or treasured.
What advice can you offer writers just breaking into a serious writing career? Use wise choices in the begining of your first chapters. Use good synopsis that is to the point in less than fifty words.
Anything else you want our readers to know? Never give up your dream of writing. Posted by Jo Linsdell at 10:32 AM Labels: interviews, jack, Sorenson
    Author Jack R. Sorenson
    Jack R. Sorenson was born in the United State and lives in a small Town Los Gatos California;
    Age: 45
Marital or Partner Status - Single
Tell us what makes you proud to be a writer from your California? Approached by my new readers-with the magical configuration, of expressions in my many new novels when they tell me how much they enjoyed my book, a compare me to one famous author I've always heard of J. K. Rowling. The readers that give me that special look that a reader only can give to the author. Makes it worth while to continue on ward to write more.
The tremendous amount of pride in one face when they learn I am an author and native Californian makes that magic happen endlessly.
What or who inspired you to become a writer? My self –a dream I had long ago?
When did you begin writing three long years ago with the intention of not becoming published? To help Miss J.K. Rowling add one more book to her series of Harry Potter for free for pure joy of her fantasy world I enjoyed through her movies not read her work of yet. As at the time my thinking as most people was not up on things in life bed ridden, as I was at the time of her rained the series of author works that are truly enjoyed can go on forever. Magic is always in are hearts and minds I feel so!"
Going on my own dealing with my own magic!"
Did your environment or upbringing play a major role in your writing and why? (No)I was an (f") to (d"), student in school. I had to re-lean everything in the past three years and wake up to the reality that no one would understand my stories if I count not get my spelling up graded and convened what I wanted to be said story wise down on paper. The stories were always there that's what keep me alive and going on mentally daily as I been bed ridden so long. Looking back now at twenty-two years. Place down at twenty-three years young at the time. My stories are coming alive through my fingers as they count down page after page to what's being written down feels all so familiar to me. To this day my heath as doctors say is on doctor's watch. But I am young and free in my stories .I can run and jump and laugh out loud. My wands work, as my sword is brilliant in the gleam of the sun that shines on them in the coming of the battle filed. Its time to shine has my true time in life is shorten. I am an author known than the sick guy that people see in that own self makes one forget about illness even it rears its ugly head daily as a remainder to my self and family. I can write it out and become a new hero in my own magical world I truly enjoy writing.
Do you come up with your title before or after you write the manuscript (s)? - Yes! The story is forming in my head first the titled comes next always and the synopses, sometimes it's a twenty page one to keep me on tract for the main chapter and body of the work.
Tell us why you write the genre(s) that you write? I wanted to be a fictional writer but at last my first published work was Fantasy and final got my Fiction work published for my second novel. Then the Horror took over my friendly way of writing went off to an evilness arena and came out to a third book. Desirae's War
    1 Nov 2008 (updated 1 Nov 2008)
A vampire novel of magical proportions…
If you like vampires, sorcery, enchantments and magic then "Desirae's War" is a must read.
This is a great book for teens and adults alike. Jam packed with sorcery, enchantment and magical realms, it's a journey of power you won't want to miss.
Embark on the journey of a king who has to fight his way through worlds of terror and pain to get back to his people, the ones he's promised with his life to protect. Fighting his own inner evil along the way, he'll come back the man he never knew he was and more powerful than anyone who has come before him.
    Desirae's War story teaser:
His face looked inhuman in its terror, and Lady Blue could smell the stench of urine. "Calm down," she urged him. When the grip on his wrist failed to stop him, she gripped the man's chin, trying to drag his head around and force him to look into her eyes and see the truth. As soon as she touched his face, she saw what the man saw. A man was bending over the terrified soldier with a thin smile on his face. He was dressed entirely in black. Even the weapon that hung at his side was as black as a bottomless pool that could steal the souls of anyone who looked at it too long. His hair was pale gold, combed back from his handsome face. Instead of nails, he had silver talons.
It was Summer Darkness, Lady Blue realized, though it was the image of Summer Darkness reflected in a dark mirror, changed almost beyond recognition. It was Summer Darkness as he might have been painted from memory by an artist in Eidengard, who had seen him only once, and feared him. It's not really him, she thought, and knew it to be the truth beyond a doubt.
"No!" The man was still screaming. "No, please, don't kill me. No, kill me, but don't curse me. Please don't."
The false picture of Summer Darkness leaned over him and sank one talon into his chest with excruciating slowness. "I will kill you," he hissed, "and I will curse you. I bind your soul to mine for all eternity, and seal it with my dark sorcery."
"He's not real," Lady Blue tried to tell the man. "See." She passed her hand right through the image of Summer Darkness, and felt nothing there at all. When she stared at him, she could see grass and flowers through his body. He was only an illusion, and illusions couldn't harm anyone.
The man gave a gurgling scream, and blood trickled from the side of his mouth. Lady Blue heard the crack as his ribs were torn apart, and heard the sickening sound of his heart being ripped out, to be crushed in Summer Darkness's talon hands. Then, as the man died, the image of Summer Darkness disappeared, like a candle blown out by the wind.
Lady Blue touched the man's neck, but there was no pulse. "Dead," she said aloud, rocking back onto her heels. Dead, but the wounds she had seen inflicted were no longer there. There was no blood, and the chest was unmarked. The man was dead, but Summer Darkness had only been an illusion, and the wounds that had killed him had vanished.

Is there anything else that you would like to share? Never give up on your dream of doing what ever it is in your life. Yes there is magic.
'The Child of the Shadows' by Jack R. Sorenson is a fantasy novel. It takes you to places you've never gone before. This story gives a new meaning to the word wizard and reveals the true magic inside each of us. It is the tale of a kingdom without a king, and of the young man who is born to be that king. It is the tale of a sword. It is the tale of a man from one world, who is transported to another world under threat world that only he can save. It is a tale of magic, but in a world where magic is derided as superstition and does not know that it needs to be saved. And it is the story of a mentor who is so jealous of his protégés achievements that he could end up proving more deadly than any enemy.
